2022 Repress!

Once voted the most "notable rap album which was never released commercially", the second album from the New York hip hop trio initially proved too controversial for release. KMD featured the talents of Rodan, future star MF DOOM, and his brother DJ Subroc.

They worked closely together to create East Coast hip hop with politically charged lyrics and a flair of jazz in the instrumentals. Originally destined for a 1994 release, it was shelved by Elektra due to its controversial sleeve but eventually saw the light of day in 2001. 'Bl_ck B_st_rds' is an underground classic packed full of obscure samples and wacky rhymes. DOOM donned his mask and Metal Face moniker after the untimely death of his brother, charged by a hatred of the industry.
